LaSalle Street Tax Phonebanking

A small tax on trades on the floors of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT – owned by the CME), and the separate Chicago Board of Options Exchange (CBOE) could generate $10-12 billion in revenue to largely solve the Illinois LaSalle_Street_Tax_Phonebankbudget crisis.

The goal of the phone banking is to call the constituents of Senators who might be persuaded to get behind this landmark bill, and, if they agree, patch them through to their Senator’s office to speak with a staffer or leave a message on the issue.

The next scheduled sessions are Monday June 19th at 4pm and 6:30pm and Monday June 26th also at 4pm and 6:30pm.  All 4 of these sessions will be at 213 S. Wheaton Ave, Wheaton, IL.

Here’s all the details.
